Jan, you really have a fabulous program here! One of these days I’ll just have to come to Sydney and see it in person.
Wow. I did not know silent movies were like that, totally riveting
Congratulations on a wonderful afternoon. Bernard Walz and the orchestra were incredible, it was like getting oxygen to hear live music. Daniel the Gaffer added an extra level to the show. Thank you, Jan for a happy and memorable afternoon.

One of the most beautiful clips from the silent era I have seen. It was a privilege to play to it.
l want to say how much we enjoyed the last movie day you organized. Such great fun and a wonderful insight into the making of the glorious old movies. I can’t wait for the next one!
May I congratulate The Moving Picture Show once again for an amazing afternoon? The music was beautiful and blended so well with “Son of the Sheik” that I almost felt like I was indeed in the 1920s. Loved the chance to “Boo!” the villains and cheer the hero in the Mack Sennett film. Was so thrilled to see the kids doing what kids have done since the invention of light, and hand shadows! Absolutely made my afternoon. Well done to one and all.
I love watching the old silent movies, the music makes it feel authentic
“The timing for “stunts” was spot on. The music is all so fitting. Nothing beats this old style. Building the suspense then bam.”
The first show in The Civic Theatre, Hurstville. What an enormous difference a purpose-built theatre did to the show. Here are photos.
